Valerie's Story
My name is Valerie. I live with my Mum in Achill. I attend a Resource Centre Monday to Friday each week. I partake in lots of different types of work each day but, by far, my favourite job is recycling. Everything that is recyclable is put into special containers, e.g. paper, cardboard, tetra packs, plastic bottles, tin, glass, etc. - nothing is spared. I am totally ruthless when I am recycling. I gather together all my containers on Thursday morning and take them by bus to the Recycling Bank. I then dispose of everything in their proper compartments. I have also convinced my Mum that this is the way to go. I would like to take this opportunity to appeal to everyone to recycle.
I love my Country... I love my County.. most of all, I love my Village.
I want to continue to live in a clean, green environment. Please don't be the person to spoil this ... Please, Please - Recycle, Recycle, Recycle!

Fergus' Story
My name is Fergus and I live at home with my parents, Mary and John.
I joined the Scouts when I was 13 years old and I am now the Assistant Leader with the Cub Section. This means that when the leader is absent I and the other Assistant take charge of the group and arrange activities. I also go on outings with the club.
At weekends I like to go out, and I enjoy a few pints on Saturday and Sunday nights!
I work in a supermarket Monday to Friday. My job is to keep the place clean, which includes the toilets, bins, floors and I also deliver shopping. I love my job because it is well paid, I get holiday pay, I have loads of work friends and, to top it all off, I get a bonus at the end of the year!
